Hi, I'm Lucas.

About Me

Hi, I'm Lucas.

I'm a full-time supplement reviewer. I test everything myself, at least three times, and tell you what's actually in it and whether it's actually worth your money.

I'm a reviewer.

Not a spec-sheet reader and not an ad in disguise. The supplement world is full of big claims, flashy labels, and insane hype, and regular people end up wasting their money on products that don't do anything, or that they don't really understand because someone hyped it without ever talking about what's in it.

My number one thing is to cut out the BS and test the stuff myself. I run a product at least three times before it ever goes in a video. You'll never see me crack one open for the first time on camera. Energy drink? I buy the 12-pack so I can run it again and again. Protein bars? I get them by the case. By the time I give a verdict, I actually know.

Tested at least 3x

I never review a product I've used once. Multipacks, cases, 12-packs. I run it over and over before I ever give a verdict on camera.

What's actually in it

Hype skips the ingredients. I don't. Every review breaks down what's really in the product, not just how it's marketed.

No BS results

The good and the bad, straight. My first pre-workout review? I called it horrific. If it's not worth it, you'll hear it.

Why I do it

There are so many big claims, flashy labels, and so much hype out there. Regular people end up wasting their hard-earned money on products that don't do anything, or that they don't know much about, because someone talked it up a certain way without ever getting into the actual ingredients.

Getting in shape is hard enough on its own. What you put in your body to support it shouldn't be a gamble. It should be 100 percent. So I do the work. I test it myself, run it multiple times, break down what's in it, and tell you the truth. That's the whole reason I keep doing this.

Who I do it for

I really do this for everybody else, for people trying to get stronger and healthier without getting played. You spend your hard-earned money, and you want to know what it is, what it does, and whether it actually works before you commit. That's exactly who these reviews are for. Not the brands, not the algorithm. Just individual people.

Every single review answers two questions: "Is it actually worth it?" and "What's actually in it?"

How I got where I am

  1. Athlete background

I came up as a three-sport high school athlete and went on to play college lacrosse. Sports taught me how to work, but the real turning point came when I got serious about training.

  2. From training to coaching

Sophomore year of college I fell in love with the gym. I started coaching teammates, leading workouts, and built a fitness coaching company advising people online. That is where the videos started.

  3. The first reviews

My first pre-workout review? I called it absolutely horrific. Then I ran a protein bar series, and one brand sent me my first PR package within weeks. I kept testing everything I could get my hands on.

  4. Getbiginthe973

The support grew fast. I built Getbiginthe973, named for my area code, and it quickly went from a fitness page to a full review channel.

  5. All in while in school

I ran the channel full-time while working 60 hours a week and carrying six classes a semester, and graduated from Rutgers with a degree in human resource management.

  6. Whatsuppwithlucas, in Dallas

After graduating I went all in on content and moved to Dallas, Texas to chase it full-time. I rebranded to Whatsuppwithlucas, and this is what I do every day now.

My story

I came up as a three-sport high school athlete and went on to play college lacrosse for about two years. Sports taught me how to work hard, but the real shift happened sophomore year of college, when I got serious about training. I fell in love with the gym, started coaching a lot of the guys on my team, and built a fitness coaching company advising people online. That's where the videos started.

My first pre-workout review, I said the product was absolutely horrific and something I never wanted to try again. From there I ran a protein bar series, and one brand became the first to ever send me a PR package, just a couple weeks into making videos. I kept testing every product I could, and the support grew fast. I created Getbiginthe973, named for my area code, and it quickly went from a fitness page to a full review channel.

I did it the hard way. I ran the channel full-time while working 60 hours a week and carrying six classes a semester, and I graduated from Rutgers with my degree in human resource management. After that I went all in on content, learning everything I could about supplements, fitness, and training, and made the move to Dallas, Texas to pursue it full-time. Since I was no longer in the 973, I rebranded to Whatsuppwithlucas. That's what I do every day now, and I'm just getting started.
