Methodology
How I review supplements
Every product gets the same treatment, sponsored, gifted, or bought with my own money. Here is exactly what happens before a review goes live.
Honest, always
Money doesn't change a score. If it underperforms, I say so, even if I'm partnered with the brand.
Personally tested
No product gets reviewed without me actually using it. Real reps, real workouts, real time on it.
Backed by research
Every active ingredient gets checked against published research and clinical dosing, not marketing copy.
Disclosed up front
Affiliate links, sponsored content, free product, all labeled in line with FTC guidelines.
The process
From box to verdict
-
1
Label check
Full ingredient panel reviewed for transparency, proprietary blends, and dosing. If the label hides things, that's noted up top.
-
2
Ingredient breakdown
Each active ingredient evaluated against published research and clinical dosing thresholds. Underdosed compounds don't get a pass.
-
3
Personal testing
Product used as directed for a representative period, typically a tub, a bottle, or a full cycle, before any review is written.
-
4
Honest score
Graded on formulation, dosing, transparency, taste & mixability (where applicable), and value. The score is the score.
Scoring
What the rating actually means
Formulation
Smart, evidence-based ingredient stack with synergy, not a kitchen-sink label.
Dosing
Clinically effective doses across the panel. No fairy-dusting.
Transparency
Open label, no proprietary blends hiding underdosed ingredients.
Experience
Taste, mixability, side effects, and how it actually feels in use.
Value
Price per serving relative to formula quality and competitor benchmarks.
Lines I don't cross
What I will not do
- ✕Give a positive review in exchange for payment or free product.
- ✕Hide negative findings to protect a brand relationship.
- ✕Review a product I have not personally tested.
- ✕Run reviews without disclosing sponsorship or affiliate ties.
