Citrulline Malate
Also known as: L-Citrulline DL-Malate (2:1, often 8 g pre-workout)
Pre-workout standard, boosts nitric oxide for pumps, raises rep counts on submaximal lifts.

What it is & how it works
L-citrulline is converted to L-arginine then to nitric oxide for vasodilation. The malate component buffers acid and feeds the TCA cycle. The 2:1 salt is what nearly all pre-workouts have used for the past decade.
Dosage
The clinically studied dose is 8 g, 30–60 min pre-workout.On labels you'll typically see 6–8 g.
What the research shows
The pump/rep-count base of nearly every credible pre-workout, 8 g lifts submaximal bench reps and pump scores in trained lifters.
